colorless oily transparent liquid with similar aroma to cinnamaldehyde. Molecular weight of 150.22, boiling point of 235~237 deg C (750mmhg-looppa), soluble in ethanol, ethyl acetate, chloroform, benzene and other organic solvents, insoluble in water. Natural products are mainly found in perilla oil (50%), lime, mint, black tea.
The perilla oil can be obtained by steam distillation from Perilla frutescens, and then distillation, can be l a perilla aldehyde.
can be used as a raw material for food flavor.
identification test
take 0.5ml of sample, add 3ml of sodium bisulfite test solution (TS-215), shake, and produce white crystal.
add 10ml of hydroxylamine hydrochloride test solution (TS-121) to 0.5ml of the sample, install a reflux condenser, heat in a water bath for 10min, and distill most of the ethanol. Add 50ml of water and place it below 5 ℃ for crystallization. The crystal is filtered and recrystallized once with ethanol. The melting point of the crystal is about 102 ℃.
content analysis
determined by method one (hydroxylamine method) in aldehyde and ketone determination method (OT-7). The amount of sample taken is 1g. The heating reflux time is changed to 2h. The equivalent factor (e) in the calculation takes 75.1l.
Toxicity
GRAS(FEMA).
